Drapers Top 100 2017 – 87. Mary Homer, chief executive, The White Company

Last year: 20

Mary Homer takes a tumble down our Top 100 rankings this year, following her departure from Arcadia Group in March. After three decades at Topshop, including more than 10 as managing director, Homer quit in March to take up the role of chief executive of The White Company, giving her the opportunity to lead a fast-growing company with plans for international expansion. And getting straight to work on this, Homer oversaw the opening of the brand’s debut international flagship on Fifth Avenue in New York’s Flatiron District in June.

In a clear signal of her intent to grow the business, Homer announced plans in August to move The White Company’s HQ from Kensington to the redeveloped Television Centre in White City, taking 32,000 sq ft.
