Position last year: 33
It has been another good year for Moss Bros chief executive Brian Brick, who presided over a rise in sales and profits despite a tough trading environment. Group like-for-like sales grew by 2.8% in the 26 weeks to 29 July and pre-tax profits were up 15.7% to £4.2m. Moss Bros has continued to invest in its store estate and custom tailoring services.
Brick has also stressed that Moss Bros will be able to rise to the various challenges facing the UK high street, including business rates and currency fluctuations, although he expressed concern about the ongoing Brexit negotiations.
