Asos launches Boards to get shoppers organised

Asos has launched a new in-app feature that allows shoppers to organise their saved items.

From today, customers will be able to use “Boards” to group items by categories such as “winter coats”, “gym” or “Halloween”. Asos will suggest titles for boards, or customers can create their own.

The new feature has been developed from Asos data that revealed 43% of shoppers using the saved items function had more than 50 products in their list, and that some stored as many as 500. Those using the app will be prompted to put items in a board when saving them in future.

The feature is available worldwide on the iOS and Android versions of the app.

Asos product manager Charmaine Aksakal said: “Giving our customers a better way to organise their saved Items is one of our most in-demand features, and Boards is just a first step in the improvements we will roll out in this area over time.

“Future updates, from sharing functionality to new layouts and product and Board suggestions driven by machine learning, will empower our customers with fresh ways to find and share inspiration and discover their personal style.”
