Footwear brand Dr Martens has poached Cath Kidston CEO Kenny Wilson to lead the business.
Wilson has held the top job at Cath Kidston since 2011, having previously also worked at Claire’s and Levi’s.
In his time at the lifestyle retailer Wilson has overseen rapid expansion, doubling sales to £130m, and taking its store count to 220 globally.
Dr Martens was left without a CEO when Steve Murray left last year, and chairman Paul Mason took charge on an interim basis.
Commenting on Wilson’s departure, a spokesman for Cath Kidston said: “We are excited that we have found a very talented candidate who is perfect for the needs of Cath Kidston. We will be announcing this soon.” The name of the replacement was not disclosed.
