Fenwick has shut down the transactional arm of its website as part of a restructure, and will not relaunch it until early 2015.
The website , which had until recently offered a selection of products available in store, is currently being used as a “showcase highlighting the products, events and promotions across the Fenwick Group”, according to the Bond Street store managing director David Walker-Smith.
He added: “We are planning a revamp to our transactional site which will involve a relaunch next year incorporating merchandise from the Fenwick Group in addition to the Bond Street store.
“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to our online customers.”
However, he would not be drawn on the exact date of a relaunch.
Fenwick of Bond Street opened a newly refurbished “Shoe Corner” earlier this month, into which £1m has been invested.
