US denim brand Madewell will exclusively launch in the UK at John Lewis’s new White City shop at Westfield London, when the department store opens on 20 March.
The launch marks “the first time the brand will be available to buy on British soil”, having previously shipped to customers in the UK from the US.
Madewell head designer Joyce Lee said: “We’ve shipped to the UK for some time now, and seen a continued demand for a physical presence from our UK customers so are excited to finally be able to provide them with a place they can experience Madewell in person.”
Madewell will offer a curated selection of their bestselling items, including jeans, totes and knitwear.
US custom stitching business Ft Lonesome will customise Madewell’s product with London-themed patches in the store when the offering launches. The service will be available for the first two days of the store opening, on 20 and 21 March.
Christine Kasoulis, director of fashion at John Lewis, said: “We are working hard to give our customers a unique and inspiring mix of brands here at John Lewis, and the addition of Madewell continues to grow our exclusive product offering that can’t be found anywhere else.”
