Mango has partnered with Vodafone to roll out new digital fitting rooms, which will feature smart mirrors.
The digital mirrors allow shoppers to scan clothes tags and store staff to request different sizes and colours of items.
The mirror will also recommend additional clothes to complete outfits.
The retailer aims to extend the fitting rooms to its top flagships across several countries, including in Barcelona and New York, in a bid to merge customers’ online and offline experiences.
Mango said the initiative marks the first phase of its digital transformation project.
Mango chief client officer Guillermo Corominas said: “This is a really exciting project for Mango. We see the future of retailing as a blend of the online and the offline.
“These new fitting rooms are another step in the digital transformation of our stores to create a whole new experience for our customers.”
Vodafone director of internet things Stefano Gastaut said: “This project helps put more power at the shopper’s fingertips and will bring Mango closer to its fashion conscious shoppers and offer them more options and experiences than a conventional fitting room.”
