Millie Mackintosh label falls into liquidation

Reality TV star Millie Mackintosh has appointed liquidators for her namesake fashion label.

The brand was at one point sold by 30 retailers worldwide including Asos, Very Exclusive and Diffusion, as well as Excelsior in Milan and Beymen in Istanbul.

Creditors at the designer’s business, Cammac Trading Limited, called in liquidators Shaw Gibbs Insolvency last week.

Mackintosh wrote on Instagram: “Despite our best efforts and being a top seller with a number of stockists, the financial climate in the fashion industry has proved immensely challenging and the business is no longer sustainable.”

The brand’s creditors face a shortfall of £548,000, The Evening Standard reports, with Mackintosh personally losing £178,000.
