UK fabric fair Textile Forum will host a “pavilion” at womenswear, menswear, footwear and accessories trade show Pure London next month.
The pavilion will showcase premium fabric suppliers’ latest collections, as well as demonstrating bespoke and customisation capabilities.
It will sit within the new Pure Origin section, which makes its debut this season.
As previously reported by Drapers Pure Origin aims to provide a “gateway” for international manufacturers to break into the UK market. It will run alongside the main Pure London show, which takes place on 11-13 February at Olympia.
Manufacturers lined up to exhibit include James Hare, Pongees, Anbo Textiles, G H Leathers and Bernstein & Banleys.
Julie Driscoll, managing director of Pure London, said: “As brands and retailers work harder and faster to create an innovative and unique offer for their customers, the growth in personalisation is set to continue at a pace. [The tie-up] gives visitors, including heads of sourcing and buying, technical directors and supply chain managers, the opportunity to meet leading fabric suppliers and discuss their requirements face-to-face.”
Linda Laderman, co-founder of Textile Forum, added: “Investment in new technology, such as digital printing for instance, means designers do not necessarily have to commit to huge volume orders to get the exclusivity they want.
“A growing percentage now have transactional websites so that buyers can purchase fabric online, often for next day delivery.”
