Shaftesbury buys more Seven Dials space

Shaftesbury has bought 5,200 sq ft of retail space in London’s Seven Dials for £24.6m.

The area, which includes six stores on the northern end of Neal Street near Covent Garden, will add to the retail landlord’s existing 14.9 acre portfolio in London’s West End.

The move has increased the company’s ownership of shop fronts on the section of the street to around 70%.

Brian Bickell, chief executive of Shaftesbury, said that end of Neal Street is “forecast to see material footfall growth” once the Crossrail Elizabeth Line service begins in December 2018.
