Superdry is partnering with Graduate Fashion Week for the first time to launch a new award celebrating outerwear design.
The Superdry Outer Award will be judged on 6 June and the winner revealed at Gala Award show that night. The winner will receive a £1,000 prize and their university will receive £500.
The outerwear specialist is seeking a graduate that shows a “clear relatability” in their signature style, as well as an eye for branding and intricacy, and a passion for innovation, detail and tailoring.
Andrea Cartwright, group HR director at Superdry, said: “Sponsoring GFW is an excellent opportunity for us to support talented designers fulfilling their ambitions within the outerwear category. We feel passionately that design outerwear is a true art and the designers of tomorrow should be recognised for their skill.”
The brand will also have a stand at GFW, which runs from 3 – 6 June at The Old Truman Brewery in Shoreditch, that will host events and master classes. It will also offer career advice to graduates on a drop-in basis.
