British knit basics brand Charli has opened sales books on its first pre-collection and debut full cashmere range just in time for the holiday season.
The 11-piece 100% cashmere range is set for delivery into stores in December and bridges its two main collections. The focus is on transitional but luxury basics with lightweight cashmere ponchos and white colourways already proving the most popular with buyers.
“We have a large client base who come to us for luxury basics, particularly in our super-soft modal jersey. Cashmere knitwear is a natural progression on this,” says Sabina Ebrahim, UK and international sales manager at the brand. “We’re offering more deliveries per year to meet the requirements of the market. We’ve had to adapt. We’re pleasantly surprised to see our UK clients picking [the pre-collection] up in a big way.”
Wholesale prices range from £64 for a poncho to £80 for an oversized waterfall cardigan.
